Well just something little. This is a little old but some were asking to see my Joker and this is one i had laying around. I played around with exporting this one from flash into illustrator to get the chalkier more textured lines. Just experimenting since i am pretty bored with my usual coloring. I kinda like the textures i got on it. Tell me what you think.

Yeah, I liked this version of the Joker above all others. The black eye look just sorta clicked with me, somehow.

The texture helps generate the feeling of unstablity and general weirdness in mister Joker here... and well, it fits him of course! :P Awesome job on him. :D The Joker rocks.

to get inspired about coloring texture I recommend you if you don't know him already

i've noticed some natural textures peaking into your more recent work. i really like the natural textures added to this one, it gets away from looking "too digital."

hey cat,

i think for the joker you should push that expression and posture and all that stuff more. he's a pretty hard dude to pull off, you gotta get him lookin completely insane, and maniacal yet with a certain charming, genius edge.

i am diggin this new jumpin jive though, visually, he looks top notch.

Yeah this is something old. I have alot of newer sketch stuff i want to put together to post an update. Definately pushed his body and expression more in the newer stuff. This was more when i was trying to establish how i would do his face, experimenting with shapes. Glad you are digging the visual aspect of it.

i like your take on his outfit, and the way you did the teeth really put the character in better view. =D
