That's a tender one. I like the simple blue structure of the pallette to give it the light mood.

Thanks! My friend mentioned to me about doing a Valentine's pic and i remembered somone saying they liked this sketch in my scraps section so i thought it would be a cute pic to use for it. I planned on doing more color-wise in the beginning but ended up liking the more simplistic color elements, which seems to be a theme in my work lately. Justin.

I love this piece, the interaction between the two characters is great. The stylization of the table and chairs are amazing. You've managed to impress me again.

Thanks. I really appreciate that, it was something i was trying to get with this that is lacking from alot of my work. Justin.

Aww, such a sweet scene. Great job with the expressions

Thank you. I really tried to take my time with this one and make it something special. Justin.

Ahh, this is so beautiful and reminds me of a sign you would see in an Italien cafe, something that places like Johnny Carino's would buy (maybe you should try selling...)

Alas however, I sense that somewhere.. there needs to be a background... something perhaps grey... maybe a washed out water image of the italian cafe I so vividly imagine them at (or French...)

Yeah i wanted to add a background but i was already late trying to get it up. I guess i sold myself a little short on that in order to get it up a little less belated. At the time though Boomerang was playing a Looney Tunes Pepe Le pu Love Stinks marathon and i was going to try and capture the essence of those beautiful Philip De Guard deco backgrounds in those shorts. I think i am going to try and do something like that for the background this weekend possibly. Thanks! Justin.

Anytime. :D

You can always be lazy and easily photoshop it :D

Or do you CG already??

I sketched this one out first and and then put it into Flash and trace bitmapped it. I found a setting that really takes well to my pencils and allows me to clean something up quick and give it more of an inked feel. I am not too familiar with photoshop at the time, which i hope will change soon since i am beginning to grow tired of the overly digital feel that using a vector based program like flash gives my work. I have been wanting something with a little more texture lately. The digital inks do lessen that effect to an extent but not enough. Something i will accomplish in time i guess. Justin.
